Magdalena Smogorzewska
I am a psychologist, therapist currently undergoing comprehensive psychotherapeutic training, trainer, and coach.
I work with individuals who:
- experience difficulties in relationships, work, or personal connections
- grew up in dysfunctional families and feel the impact of these experiences on their current life
- go through intense emotional states (depression, anxiety, stress) and need support in managing them
- find themselves in crisis situations (such as a breakup or job loss) and are seeking direction
- are facing significant life changes and want to navigate them
- struggle with adapting to new life roles (pregnancy, becoming a parent, job change, relocation)
- wish to develop work-life balance
- strive for a happier and more fulfilling life
I offer individual sessions for adults and adolescents over the age of 15 and also work with children from the age of 7 through workshops.
I hold a master's degree from the Faculty of Social Psychology at SWPS, with specialization modules in psychotherapeutic interventions in practice, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention. Additionally, I completed postgraduate studies in pedagogical preparation for psychologists. I am a certified graduate of the School of Coaches at the Jagiellonian University and the "Psychologist in Practice" internship at the Dialog Therapy Center. I am also a certified TUS trainer. Currently, I am participating in a comprehensive 4-year psychotherapeutic training program in the integrative approach at the Instytut Psychologii Zdrowia (IPZ). Professional development is very important to me, and I actively participate in various additional courses and trainings (e.g., introduction to ACT therapy, accredited "Facet5" personality profiling program, Mindfulness, and the "Bodywork" module in Grof Transpersonal Training).
My previous professional experience in psychology has been primarily related to supporting development through individual consultations, as well as workshops and trainings for both adults (on topics such as communication and emotional management) and for children and adolescents (on behalf of the Psychodrabina psychoeducation workshops, on topics like interpersonal skills, addiction prevention, or combating aggression and violence). At the same time, I have been developing as a therapist by leading long-term individual processes, which is now my main focus. Additionally, for almost 9 years, I have been working in HR, which has given me insight into the corporate environment and collaboration with businesses.
Psychology became my passion even before starting my studies. I approach each person individually, and in my work, creating a safe and welcoming space is very important to me—where one can be themselves, better understand themselves and others, strengthen and activate personal resources, and learn skills that will be helpful and supportive in life.
