TEAM

Magdalena Smogorzewska

I am a psychologist, therapist in comprehensive psychotherapy training, trainer, and coach.

I work with people who:

  • experience difficulties in relationships, at work, or in their personal life
  • grew up in dysfunctional families and feel the impact of these experiences on their present life
  • struggle with intense emotional states (such as depression, anxiety, or stress) and need support in coping with them
  • find themselves in a crisis situation (such as separation or job loss) and are seeking a way forward
  • are facing major life changes and wish to find their way through it
  • encounter challenges in adjusting to a new life role (such as pregnancy, welcoming a baby, a new job position, or relocation)
  • want to develop a healthier work–life balance
  • strive for a happier and more fulfilling life

I offer individual sessions for adults and, in a workshop format (Social Skills Training – SST), I also work with children.

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Psychology from SWPS University, where I specialized in psychotherapeutic interventions in practice, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention. Following this, I completed postgraduate studies in pedagogical training for psychologists. I am also a certified graduate of the School of Coaches at the Jagiellonian University, as well as the Psychologist in Practice internship at the Dialog Therapy Center, and a certified Social Skills Training (SST) facilitator. Currently, I am attending a comprehensive four-year integrative psychotherapy training program at IPZ. Professional development is crucial to me, and I eagerly participate in various additional courses and trainings, such as an introduction to ACT therapy, Mindfulness, or the “Bodywork” module at the Grof Transpersonal Training.

My previous professional experience in the field of psychology has been primarily related to supporting development through individual consultations as well as workshops and trainings – both for adults (focused on communication and emotional management) and for children and adolescents (through the psychoeducation center “Psychodrabina, on topics such as interpersonal skills, addiction prevention, and counteracting aggression and violence). At the same time, I have been developing as a therapist by leading long-term individual processes, which is now my main focus. In addition, I have worked for nearly ten years in the field of HR, which helps me to understand the specifics of the corporate environment and collaboration with business.

Psychology became my passion even before I started my studies. I approach every person individually, and in my work it is very important for me to create a welcoming space where one can be themselves, gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others, strengthen and activate their personal resources, and learn skills that are useful and supportive in everyday life.
