individual psychotherapy/ therapy

Individual psychotherapy is a form of in-depth psychological work aimed at helping and supporting people in dealing with personal and life difficulties. These may concern many areas of life, such as relationships with others, one’s own emotions and behaviors, harmful habits, or difficult past experiences. Unlike psychological counseling, psychotherapy focuses on exploring the roots of current difficulties and working through them with appropriate techniques in the safety of the therapeutic relationship. It may also include elements of psychoeducation or skills training. The result is often not only resolving current issues or alleviating painful symptoms, but also fostering holistic personality development.

Individual therapy (as distinct from psychotherapy) in our center is a process conducted by a psychologist currently completing a four-year comprehensive psychotherapy training program.

Who is it for?

Psychotherapy is suitable for people who have been diagnosed with, or suspect they may have, mental health issues, as well as for those who are otherwise healthy but feel the negative impact of past experiences on their present functioning.
