Social Skills Training
Social skills training (SST/TUS) is a form of therapy focused on learning or improving social, communication, and interaction skills. It can take place through regular individual sessions with a trainer or a series of group workshops (particularly recommended for children and adolescents). This is an educational process in which a person learns new skills or refines existing ones to better manage challenges in social relationships. During SST, clients develop abilities such as: emotion regulation, effective communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, or coping with criticism.
Who is it for?
SST is recommended for individuals experiencing difficulties in forming and maintaining relationships, including those with personality or emotional disorders, as well as neurodivergent individuals facing challenges in social functioning.
